Notes:* IC 2157 (lower, centered) is the more obvious of these two sparse open clusters, located almost one degree WSW of M 35 in Gemini. "Star Clusters", by Brent Archinal and Steven Hynes, after several paragraphs in the notes section, concludes "So it would appear that along with the fairly well known IC 2157, there is an asterism or possible separate cluster just to the north - which is IC 2156".
