Size: 4.4' x 2.9' Magnitude: 11.8 blue Class: SB(s)cd HII

North is up

West to the right

Telescope:

 14.5" f5 Newtonian reflector

Notes: As the moon approached Aquila in the south, I start imaging in the east ... unfortunately, the seeing has deteriorated due to off-shore winds. Located in the square of Pegasus, there seems to be an uneven background to my image ... I could not find a wide-field, deep image of this area, to confirm any 'galactic cirrus' in the background.

V = 11.3;  Size 4.4x3.0;  SB = 13.9;  PA = 170d

13.1": faint, moderately large, diffuse, elongated ~N-S.  A pretty double star 
mag 9/11 at 24" is just off the N edge 2' from center and interferes with 
viewing.

Historical Research Notes / Correction for NGC 7741
NGC 7741.  WH's position is almost +4 arcmin off.  See NGC 6882 = NGC 6885 for
